While staying at the Stokesville Lodge you have full access to Campground amenities such as the trails, swimming hole, kids fishing pond and the playground.
Here is a clip that shows the Lodge and the adjacent Stokesville Campground property.
Here is a fun video from a High School Bicycle Event we held on the property in 2015
Lookout Mountain Trail
When you look out the windows of the Stokesville Lodge you see Lookout Mountain in the distance to the west. There is a super exciting and scenic new trail that features amazing rock work on the western slope just behind the highest peak. The trail travels the length of the ridge and hosts amazing views of one of the largest watersheds’ on the east coast and travels down to a swinging bridge over the North River just above a fresh clear swimming hole. The realigned trail is the result of a great partnership between the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition and the North River District of the George Washington National Forest.
Shenandoah Mountain 100
Stokesville Lodge is adjacent to the start of the Shenandoah Mountain 100 and a great place to stay if you want to get in some practice time on the route.
Narrowback Mountain
The trail system on Narrowback Mountain has seen vast improvements over the last decade. The most recent improvements in the fall of 2011 and 2012 have made Narrowback a destination trail system in its own right. It is just a four mile bicycle ride from the Stokesville Lodge to access this enhanced trail system via Tillman West Trail. Rocky ledge step-ups, flowy turns, sweeping berms and tabletop jumps await you.
